Happy Halloween

It is October 31st which means...Happy Halloween. If you would like to read more about the origin of Halloween check out History.com. I sent this Sock Monkey Happy Halloween card to our little Michigan girls earlier this week. Why I Love Working For My Boss!

Did you know today is National Bosses Day? Happy Bosses Day! Since it is Bosses Day, I thought I would share with you why I love working for my boss. I have the greatest boss in the whole wide world.

• There is much laughter at things that are said and done.
• There is teasing without worry of feeling being hurt.
• Total openness without worry of being fired.
• A great teacher.
• Freedom and empowerment to work on my own projects.
• Allows me to set my own hours.
• Always there to help me figure out problems.
• Allows me to have control over my own future.
• Allows me to se my own pay.

Now really, could you ask for a better boss? So Happy Bosses Day...to me!

Happy Columbus Day - Stampin' Up! Style

In honor of my Italian-American heritage, how could I not recognize Columbus Day. Some of you  might think I am a little late in saying this because you may have had the holiday on Monday, but today is actually Columbus Day. It is celebrated on the second Monday in October, but it was October 12, 1492 when Christopher Columbus landed in the New World. The celebration of Columbus Day became an official federal holiday in 1937. So I say...Happy Columbus Day.

Here is my Happy Columbus Day Stampin' Up! Style. This is for my wonderful St. Angelo family. This is a very special picture that was taken last year at the debut of the movie about my family, "George, Gordon, and Doug St. Angelo: A Look Back" a Patrick Cone File. It had been many year (and a lot of added family members) since the entire family had been together. This family photo has everyone except my Aunt Beatty who passed away a few years ago. I love you St. Angelos! 

 

I used the Italian flag for my color choice and layout inspiration. I am going to frame this and give it to my dad.

Stampin' Up! Inspiration - Where do you get your inspiration?

I recently read an article in the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success, a monthly publication for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. The title of the article was "Everyday inspiration, finding inspiration in unexpected places" and this is SO true.

All you have to do is look around you, even take a look in your pantry. Look at a box of cereal or crackers, or maybe a can or a jar. Let your imagination and creativity run, find a color combination, or see a layout for a greeting card or scrapbook page. The point here is that inspiration is all around you.

World Card Making Day - National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I hope you were busy yesterday making cards, after all it was World Card Making Day.  October also means that it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so if you have not had your annual mammogram yet CALL TODAY to schedule yours. 

To honor both World Card Making Day and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month I made a cute card that could be used as a "schedule your mammogram" card to send to a friend or family member, thinking of you card, or even a thank you card.

World Vegetarian Day - October 1st

Happy "World Vegetarian Day"! I am not officially a vegetarian because I do eat some meats, but I do love my veggies. In honor of "World Vegetarian Day" I have made a new recipe card that I will add to my favorites Vegetable Recipe Album.
