I got this from Split Coast Stampers (SCS) weekly challenge yesterday "Try a New Technique". I remember seeing this last year but kind of forgot about it, this is SO COOL! Click here for step-by-step instructions by Donna Moore. Lynn in St. Louis is a SCS Challenge hostess. Look at this beautiful card that she made using the tag punch starburst. I would like to introduce you to another UDI Sister, Carol Marbach. Carol is sharing a gift that she made for her mom, (but shhhhhh, don't tell her mom about it). Carol's mom loves cardinals...all I can say is WOW! I hope you enjoy this. Thank for Carol for sharing. What a nice job.
Carol got this idea after seeing a tutorial by Amy Celona and had to do one for her mother.
Carol says..."you stamp the cardinal on (riding hood red) card stock and then modge podge it to two other layers. If the image needs "bending" you do it while still soft then cut it out. I had difficulty with the cutting because of the "wet" cs, it kind chewed up my cs. Some of my branches were weak, so I had to tweak it a bit and add more layers to the back. I also added the snowflakes for fun and decided on a magnet instead of a pin.
You cut an extra layer of the head and wing as well. The head was stamped on white cs and colored with markers in more mustard and ruby red. You use dimensionals to build the layers. If you pop overto Amy's post you will see how incredibly beautiful her cardinal is and how each person's individual interpretation can make it their own. Please reference Amy's tutorial if you decide to make one."

"I had a metal cd case and decorated it for the gift box using bella rose dsp and textured pirouette pink card stock."
Here are a couple of close up pictures of the cardinal in the case and out of the case.
"I also made two quick cards with the big shot scallop circle so thetin wouldn't be empty when she put her magnet on the refrig. I love these scallop cards."

Do you ever have a hard time trying to figure out a layout for a scrapbook page? Well, this might be something that will help you. Last year I was in a "Grow A Page" swap with some of my UDI Diva Sisters. This was so fun! Maybe I should suggest doing another swap like this. Anyway, there were several different teams in this swap. Each team had 5 members, and each member started their own page. Keep reading, you will get a little better understand of what I am trying to say. The first step in the swap was to start with an ACT Card, when complete, would be mailed to the next person in line. Okay, the pictures might help to explain it a little better too. Here we go......
This is the card that I made which I sent it to the second person. I really wish I could remember everyone that participated in this swap. The team that I was on was AWESOME! The ATC card is 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" in size.
So I send my ATC to member 2. When she got my ATC, she had to add to it to make it a standard card size of 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 in size. Look at what she did.
In the mean time, she sent her ATC to her member 2 that was changing her's into a card. I also received an ATC from my member 5 and was changing it into a card. Do you see what it happening here?
Now that the cards are complete, it is ready for round 3. In round 3 we had to take the card that received and turn it into a 6 x 6 page. Have I lost you yet? Come on, I know you are keeping up with me just fine. Take a look at this.
You see how it is growing? Okay, now that all the 6x6 pages are done, the next step is to change the 6x6 to an 8-1/2 x 11 page. This is cool, isn't it. Okay, let's take a look at what happened with mine.
Okay, I know that you are really following me know. This was SO much fun, I did not know what mine would look like when it got back to me. I was so excited when I got it back. Oh no, I am getting a little ahead of myself here. Slow down Jill. The final step in this swap was to change the 8-1/2 x 11 into a 12 x 12 page. Okay, now I can continue. Here is my completed 12 x 12 page...totally AWESOME! So you really can "get a little help from my friends" and here it is....
I guess what I am really trying to say, don't let scrapbooking scare you or don't get frustrated if you cannot think of how to get started. Start easy. Do you have a favorite stamp or do you have a favorite color or color combination? Start small and work your way up.

I came across this tutorial the other day that was created by Beate Johns. Let me tell you, Beate does awesome work. This box is so cute.
Create a triangle shaped box out of a cardstock rectangle.
Stamp your cardstock.
Turn your cardstock around.
Mark the middle of both short sides of the cardstock with a pencil.
Scoreyour cardstock at 5" on the long side.
Line up the mark you made on one of the short sides with the middle of long side.
Score to create a diagonal fold.
Line up the mark with the other side of the middle fold and score.
You will now have a triangle of scored lines.
Repeat step four and five on the other side of the cardstock.
Prefold all your score lines.
Add strong adhesive to the edge of one of the long sides.
Assemble the box by bringing the two ends together and securing with the adhesive just applied.
Use a Crop-a-Dile™ to punch through the taped sides.
Bring both of the opposite sides together and punch a hole through them as well.
Fill your box.
Thread your ribbon through the punched holes. It will keep your box closed.
Tie ribbon and decorate your box front.
Change the size
You can make this box in a lot of different sizes. Just keep the length of your cardstock two times the width (e.g.: 3" x 6", 4" x 8" and so on).
The picture here shows a box made out of a 2 1/2" x 5" piece of cardstock. It holds one Dove chocolate piece.

Okay, so maybe it is not REAL snow, but we can always pretend.
I am going to take this to work with me and put it on my desk, which also means that I will be take some snow flurries to Florida.
I got a little glass vase and a little bag of blue stones to hold my skinny craft sticks. To make my snow flakes, I use the crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the end of the stick and used the Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad to attached the snow flakes (Little Felt Flurries, Item 113697) which are current available in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Hi everyone, I want to introduce you to one of my UDI Diva Sisters...Susan Amante. Susan was also one of my stampin' sister for on quarter. I had fun getting to know Susan and she does some great paper crafting. I have not met Susan in person, but hope to one of these days. I asked Susan if she would share one of her recent works, not only is she sharing a card that she has done, but she also has provided us a tutorial for making the card. Susan is AWESOME! Season of Friendship
'Tis the season to give thanks. This is not an original design. A Stampin' UP "sister" inspired this design. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name. So, Stampin' UP "sister", if you recognize your design Thank you.
Supplies (All Stampin' Up):
Card stock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Designer Serise Paper: Autumn Vine
Stamp Set: Season of Friendship
Ink Pad: Chocolate Chip
Markers: Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Bordering Blue
Accessory: Brocade Blue brad (Rich Regal brad set)
Tools: Piercing tool and pad, Stampin' dimension tape, Stampin' snail adhesive, 3/4" circle punch, bone folder
Base card: Baja Breeze card stock
Size: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.
On 8 1/2 length, score at 4 1/4 in. Use a bone folder, fold at the score line.
Select a pattern and cut from designer series paper (dsp) Autumn Vine a panel, size 5 1/4 x 4 in.
Adhear onto base Baja Breeze card. Cut a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 in chocolate chip panel, and adhere.
Use a Chocolate Chip ink pad onto Season of Friendship tree stamp.
Adhere stamped tree onto chocolate chip panel.
Brush on marker inks Bordering Blue, Creamy Caramel, and More Mustard onto leaves stamp, as desired.
Stamp leaves 7 times. (Re-inking each time you stamp)
Using a 3/4 in circle punch, punch out the 7 stamped leaves.
Adhere Stampin' dimension on each punched leaves.
Adhere punched stamped leaves, by random, on stamped tree.
Load chocolate chip ink on sentiment stamp "The season of friendship lasts forever".
Stamp sentiment onto Tangerine Tango panel size 2 1/2 x 11/16 in.
Lay stamped Tangarine Tango panel on piercing pad and pierce a hole on each side.
Push piercing tool all the way through. This makes it easy to push a brad through.
Push through a Brocade Blue brad to each side of the sentiment panel.
Use the piercing tool to open the prongs of the brad.
Adhere a Stampin' dimension on open prongs.
Adhere sentiment panel over base tree trunk.
You have now completed your card! Take ownership of your beautiful handmade card. Don't forget to add author stamp to the back of your card.
Almost 2 years ago, I decided that I was going to make a 12x12 scrapbook of my great niece Kaylyn (yes, she is almost 2 now...hehehe) for her mother (my niece) Micah. Well, I finally got started on it. Here is the first page. What better place to start...the Baby Shower.
Yes, I know the picture is a little blurry, but I wanted to share the page, not actually the personal information. This is the invitation that Micah's friends sent out for the shower. I was not able to attend the shower, I had a stamping event that day. But with all the friends that Micah has, I don't believe that I was missed at all.
Anyway, back to the page. Before Kaylyn even arrived, I got "Just Delightful" for her book. Just Delightful is one of the Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' Kits which is now retired. Here is the recipe for this page.
Stamp Set: Typeset Alphabet Upper (retired)
Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Cameo Coral, So Saffron
Accessories: On Board letters, Chunky Glitter, heat and stick powder, stampin' sponge
Here is a close up of the "Baby Shower" and I used my new stamp-a-ma-jig. I think it came out pretty good for my first time using it. Boy, if I had not used it...my letters would have been all over the place. LOL
