FRENZIED FRIDAY ~ Sketch Challenge

I don't know about all of you, but I am sure glad today is FRIDAY!, which means STAMPING (yeah) this weekend.  What a week (that day job), and I cannot believe that January is almost over, but that means that Sale-A-Bration is right around the corner.  As a matter of fact, I am holding my first Sale-A-Bration on Sunday.

Okay, I better get to today and worry about Sunday later.  Today is a special day for me!  Today I am introducing a member of my new design team, Lauren Smith.  Lauren has been stamping for about 5 year off and on (more on recently) and she really enjoys making cards.  Lauren, welcome and thank you for being part of my design team.

I challenged Lauren with a SCS sketch challenge this week and wanted to share her creation.  This is the card sketch that I asked her to use to create her card.  And here is her cute card.  Thank you Lauren for sharing your card.

         

 

Lauren's Friendship Card Recipe

Stamp Sets: Polka Dots & Paisley, Friendship Blooms

Card Stock:  Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Ink:  Rose Red, Old Olive Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Ticket Corner Punch, Flower Fusion flowers, Vintage Brad (retired) For the center flower, Lauren use some makers and crayons.   In the coming weeks I will introduce other members of my new design team.

TEMPTING TECHNIQUES THURSDAY ~ Ghirardelli Box

Wow, this box is SO CUTE!  Elizabeth Harris is the creator of this box, which she did for the UDI Inspiration Challenge #28.  Elizabeth got this idea from Beate's tutorial.  Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your box, and thank you Beate for this great tutorial.

DOOR PRIZE

I know, I am supposed to be posting Toys & More today, but I wanted to share this little box with you.  I made it for a door prize at the new catalog party this past Sunday.  I also filled it with HUGS & KISSES. 

 

The first picture is of the front of the box and the other is the back. I had parts and pieces left from the little pillow box (see Mix It Up Monday) that I needed to use on something. GRIN.

MIX IT UP MONDAY ~ Hugs & Kisses New Catalog Party

Yesterday was my New Catalog Party introducing the Spring~Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog.  Normally I will have at least 2 to 3 make and take items, but we only did one...my ladies were chomping at the bit to get their hands on the new catalog, and giving them the catalog was the last thing that I did...big grin.

I wanted to share what we made.  I got this idea from Regional in Orlando earlier this month.  I am sorry that the pictures are not the greatest, my camara has been giving me a little bit of a problem.

We each made a little pillow box.  Did you know that you can put up to 4 Hugs & Kisses in one box?   This is a picture of both the front and the back of the pillow box.  The stamp that we used for the back has the saying of hugs & kisses, so I HAD to have some HUGS & KISSES for everyone to put in their box.

BACK FROM REGIONAL - The time goes by so quickly!

I am back from a wonder time a Regional in Orlando.   Regionalin itself was great, but the best part was meeting some of my UDI Sisters. I will post some pictures soon...my battery died on me in Orlando. 

Watch for another post on Regional very soon that will be full of some great information, samples, and some tips.

WOOHOO! REGIONAL - Orlando, FL

I am on may way to Regional in Orlando today.  Regional actually is tomorrow, but I was not about to get up at 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning to drive to Orlando.  I am really excited about this Regional.  Not only do I get to see some great samples and get some great ideas, but I will also be meeting several of my UDI sisters. I hope that I will be able to post some pictures from Regional, but I am limited by Stampin' Up! regulations as to what pictures I can post at this time.  I will share what I can.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wish all my stamping and blogging friends a Happy NewYear!  I also wish for my stamping business friends a prosperous stamping year.  I might get in the stamping room today...woohoo!  But I am currently recovering from making hand-mades or home made pasta, which is now drying.  Ken has the red sauce with meat balls on the stove.  This is a family tradition to have hand-mades and red sauce on New Year's Day.  This is one of those things that you HAVE to do, sort of like bringing good luck all year.  Do you have any traditions for today?  Post your traditions in the comments.
