UDI Inspiration Challenge #149 - Sock Monkey Card

It is time for another UDI Inspiration Challenge.  Look at the cute photo that Maria picked out for Challenge #149.  Does it take you back in time to your childhood days?  It did me, and it also reminded me of the Sock Monkey.  This photo inspired me to create this Sock Monkey card.  I did not have a specific type of card to make this week, but this Sock Monkey could be used for any number of occasions such as...a birthday card, a get well card, or even a congratulations card.

UDI Inspiration Challenge #147 - Thinking of You Card

I think the picture that Maria picked for UDI Inspiration Challenge #147 is beautiful, but I sure had a time trying to figure out what I wanted to do. When I first saw this picture I thought of a retired stamp set and retired colors. Our rule for  the UDI Inspiration Challenges is to use only current Stampin' Up! products.  However, I did create a cute Thinking of You card.  Let me know what you think by leaving a comment. 

I made this card for a new friend that I met through an old friend who are both going through kind of a tough time right now.  So this is for Jennifer and her dad Danny.  I hope these butterflies will help lift their spirits.

Rainbow Poppin' "Fresh Cuts" - UDI Inspiration Challenge #145

Thursday means UDI Inspiration Challenge again.  This week is #145, and I love the picture that Maria picked for us.  I had so many different ideas it took me a little while to decide which one I wanted to create.

I have not finished my card because I don't have a greeting on it yet.  I am going to wait until I need to give it to someone.  I could be use for many different occasions, such as a Mother's Day card, a birthday card, a thank you card, a thinking of you card, and the list goes on.

UDI Inspiration Challenge #144 - Celebrate Card

 Hello again, it is time for UDI Inspiration Challenge, #144.  I got hungry for a milk shake with the picture that Maria picked out for us this week. 

I needed to make a card for a young woman that I work with that had a birthday this week and is graduating from college this weekend.  Instead of making two seperate cards (birthday and graduation), I combined them together for a Celebrate Card.

It is a simple design, but a little time consuming to make, in that I had a lot of cutting involved in creating this card.

UDI Inspiration Challenge #136 - Happy Birthday Bug Card

It is time for UDI Inspiration Challenge #136.  One of our Michigan girls has her 5th birthday coming up soon and I used this challenge to create her Happy Birthday card from Uncle and Auntie.  Here is Maria's picture for this week's challenge.  At first I could not decide on what I wanted to create but finally figured it out.  Yes, I went a little crazy again on the colors, but also when crazy on the punches. I know, you are thinking..."this woman is crazy"...but keep in mind this is for 5 year old birthday girl and I wanted this to be a fun Happy Birthday card. 

I included 3 pictures this week of my card.  Yes, the first picture is the front of the card (you never know, one of these days I might start with the inside of a card first).  The second picture is the top-inside, I wanted you to see what I did with the words.  Last but not least, the third picture is the bottom-inside, which we will write something on all the punches.  Tell me what you think of this crazy card by leaving a comment below.

A Hoot of a Happy Birthday Card

If you say the post from Friday, this is the other Happy Birthday card that Julia Gibson shared.  I love it, so bright and festive. 

Julia has used her Big Shot (113439) again! For this card, she  used Whisper White card stock (100730) as her base card with another piece that she used a polka dot background and put a layer of Old Olive card stock (100702) in between. For the owls she used the Punch Bunch set that she earned from sale-a-bration, and stamped them using VersaMark (102283) on the different card stock - Pumpkin Pie (105117), Old Olive, Perfect Plum (101889), and Pacific Point (111350). Julia used her Two-Step Owl Extra-Large punch to cut the Owls out, and hand cut the hats. "You could put the hats on the same colors, but I sorta like mixing them up," stated Julia.  I think the card is cute just the way it is, what a fun Happy Birthday card.  Julia, thank you for sharing with us again.  Please leave a comment below for Julia and let her know if you have any questions and what you think about her card.

Birthdays and Cupcakes

Birthdays and cupcakes go so well together, and what a cute Happy Birthday card created by Julia Gibson that represents that so well.

"I had a good time playing tonight and did two birthday cards that you might like to try. They are both pretty fast to make once you get out all the tools," Julia stated to me in an email.  

Here is one of the cards that she created.

Julia used some items from the Occasions Mini Catalog that expires on April 30, 2011, and Designer Series Paper Ice Cream Parlor (122242) from sale-a-bration that ends March 31, 2011.  She used the Create a Cupcake (121915-w, 121982-c) stamp set along with the coordinating Build a Cupcake Punch (121807).  She punched out the cherry from the new red glitter paper (121790), and used the Big Shot (113439) to create the scallop square.

For this week's UDI Diva Inspiration Challenge #135 I created a "Happy Birthday" card.  I noticed that my birthday card selection is getting a little low and needs to be built up again.  Maria picked out another fun picture for us to play with.

Valentine's Day Party

First, I say... Happy Valentine's Day!...and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

I have had several people ask me to share the projects that we did at my Valentine's Day Party last month.  So with no more delay, here they are.

 We made a votive candle holder wrap, a little card that is prefect for gift cards, and a standard Valentine's Day card.  This one is for my Valentine and I altered the middle of the card from what we did at the party, which is the picture below.
