Count Down to Super Bowl Sunday and Stamping Game!

This post is a little late, but as you read on you will see why.

I am glad that I am not really a Chicago Bears fan or a Green Bay Packers fan, but I have family in both areas. The out come of this game resulted in part of my family being very happy and part of my family being very sad. 

Time is narrowing down to see who the best football team is in the Nation. My question for you is...

...are you Hunter Green & Gold (Green Bay Packers)? 

OR

...are you Black & Gold (Pittsburg Steelers)? 

Well, no matter what colors you are, I have a little sneak peek to my Super Bowl Stamping Game that is schedule for Super Bowl Sunday (Sunday, February 6th) at the Dallas Cowboys stadium (the game will be there, but my games is on the phone or by email), with the time still to be determined.  For all of you that are not football fans, you will still need to pick a team for this game, because there will be something special for those that pick the team that winds the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Sunday, February 6th

I am going to leave this post at the time for a little while, remember to scroll down to see new posts.

The clock is ticking and we are getting closer to Super Bowl Sunday.  Now I know that some of you out there are die-hard football fans and I am right there with you on the 50 yard line, but I also know that some of you could care less about a football game, which is fine too.  I want to share with everyone that I am planning my own Super Bowl Sunday game, and everyone can play, football fan or not. 

If you want to play in my Super Bowl Sunday game you need to sign up on my mailing list to even have the chance of intercepting any of my specials.  Keep watching Jill's Stamping Corner, because as we get closer to "kick off" time you might see a post or two or three or four that will give you a little pre-game show.  Both teams, football fans and not, must be signed up on my mailing list by Friday, February 4th.  You will receive one email with all game rules as well as the game plan.  So don't get a delay of game penilty, sign up right now to join my mailing list.  Hope to see you on the game field or at least on the side lines watching the game.

UPDATE 1 - Making Room - Retired SU! Items Sale

Some of you already know that I have recently moved back to Tallahassee, and in doing so I had to organize the new stamping room...what a task that was.  When I was organizing I realized that I needed to "find a new home" for some retired Stampin' Up! items.  I hope that you will be able to make it to one of the 2 days next weekend (November 20-21) to The Brew & Bean Coffee Company.  Some items that will be available are, but not limited to...

Jill's Stamping Corner Relocation!

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry that I have not posted to my blog recently, this has been the month from (you know where)!  We had a death in the family, husband in the hospital (home and doing very well), finding a new place to live, and moving.  So, this is to let you know that Jill's Stamping Corner has relocated BACK to Tallahassee!...finally.  I hope to get in my stamping room this weekend and unpack boxes and get organized so I can start stamping again and posting.  I hope to start posting again very soon.  Until, happy stamping!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Just want to tell all my stamping friends that I hope you have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.  I hope you are able to get a little stamping time in, and that you are able to spend some time with your family and friends.  

 

Happy Mother's Day

The second Sunday of May is the day that many countries recognize as Mother's Day and Mothers are given special attention and are given gifts.   Have you ever wondered when this annual event began and how it even got started?  Visit Mothers Day Central for the full story.  I will give you a little background on Mother's Day here in the U.S.

As you can probably imagine like manyother things, if the British were doing something (like celebrating Mother's Days) back in England at the time that the first English settlers came to America, guess what, they were not going to do it in America.  So the celebration of Mother's Day was discontinued.  Making a long story short, it was not until 1914 when the national observance and declaring the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day was signed by Woodrow Wilson. 

So Thank You Woodrow Wilson, and the many others along the way pushing for Mother's Day.  I hope all the mothers out there have a wonderful day.

I really don't have a post for today, I have been so busy this week at work (that day job thing) and getting ready for tonight's Stamp-A-Stack at King's Way. You know I will be taking pictures of everyone having fun tonight and will share them with you this weekend.
